My Rights under MGNREGS

• Right to a Job Card: Free registration and job card issuance within 15 days of application.
• Right to Demand Work: Guaranteed 100 days of unskilled manual work per household.
• Right to Unemployment Allowance: If work is not provided within 15 days of demand, the state must pay an allowance.
• Right to Timely Payment: Wages must be paid within 15 days of work completion. Delayed payments attract compensation.
• Right to Work within 5 km: If work is provided beyond 5 km, 10% extra wage must be paid for transport.
• Right to Worksite Facilities: Drinking water, shade, first-aid, and crèche (if >5 children under 6 years are present).
• Right to Minimum Wage: Payment according to the notified state minimum wage for NREGA workers.
• Right to Social Audit: Gram Sabha must conduct regular audits of works and payments.
