3. State Welfare Board Registration
Certain states have introduced specific laws to protect gig workers and provide social security benefits.
Rajasthan Gig Worker Welfare Board
(Under RFCTLARR Act 2023)
- Status: Active & Registering Workers
- Documents Required: Aadhaar, Jan Aadhaar, Bank Details, Platform ID
- Benefits: Guaranteed social security fee collected per transaction, direct grievance portal.
Karnataka Platform-Based Gig Workers Bill
- Status: Draft Bill (Upcoming)
- Proposed: Welfare fee deduction, algorithmic transparency, transparent contract terms.
